At the heart of 'the edge' is an interactive, challenge-based curriculum where you will work in a team - delivered live and online using the latest digital tools.
I’m Cengiz Somay and have over 25 years experience as a senior executive across industry, government, academia, and - most recently - as a qualified teacher, private tutor, mentor and coach to young people.
This broad experience has given me unique insights into how to engage, motivate, and equip young people for success.
An immersive 'live' online 10 week program that harnesses the power of experiential learning and use of the latest digital tools to equip you with the essential skills needed to thrive in the real-world.
Each week you will develop new practical technical skills blended with essential personal skills that you will practice throughout the program.
The Edge program culminates in a pitch competition for a chance to win £500 in seed capital to launch a new business venture aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

The program is delivered by Cengiz Somay (BSc, MBA, MA, PGCE, PGDip, QTS), an experienced educator and industry professional with over 25 years’ expertise spanning government, academia, and private-sector roles.
17–21 years old. The program is designed to support young people transitioning into higher education, apprenticeships, or early careers.
Yes. A minimum of 8 and maximum of 16
We offer new cohorts starting in January, April, July, and October each year.
Each session is 2 hours, including a brief 5-minute break.
We meet every consecutive Saturday, from 10:00 to 12:00 GMT (2 hours). Sessions run for 10 weeks.
£500 is the total fee, which includes all taxes and is due upon enrolment. If the cohort does not meet the minimum enrolment of 8 participants, you may choose to receive a refund or carry over your payment to the next session.
You will receive a one-to-one summary briefing for the session you missed. However, participants may only miss up to two of the ten sessions; missing more than two may result in dismissal from the program.
We can provide a brief progress overview and highlight key achievements or areas for improvement, upon request, while respecting participant privacy and data protection guidelines.
Absolutely. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Digital Certificate detailing the program content and a Digital Badge to showcase on professional platforms like LinkedIn.
Yes. If you refer a new participant who completes the course, you will receive £100 as a referral thank-you once their enrolment is confirmed and the program concludes.
Yes. We offer virtual coaching and mentoring tailored to individual goals, separate from the main program. Discounts may apply for Edge participants or alumni.
